Geocaching is like a global treasure hunt. People around the world use GPS devices to find hidden containers, called geocaches, and use the internet to hide and seek the cache locations. A geocache is usually a plastic box, varying in size from a 35mm film cannister up to 3 litre ice cream tubs. It is usual to take something from a cache when you find it, and leave something in return. You can learn more at the geocaching website. |

A Travel Bug ® is a small object that is registered with a particular goal and left in a geocache for others to find and help on its way. It is tracked using Groundspeak Travel Bug tags (left). You can learn more on the geocaching webpage for trackable items. |
